I recently had the pleasure of dining with several friends at Indigo Joe's, the newly opened Sports Pub and Restaurant located in Mooresville Lake Norman.  Normally, I tend to shy away from sports pubs because of the loud noise and more importantly, the cigarette smoke but Indigo Joe's was billed in the local paper as a "smoke free" environment (there is a lovely outside patio off the main dining area for those who enjoy their smokes) so we decided to check it out.   I ordered the Mexican Chicken Salad which comes in a lunch and dinner size portion.  The dinner portion can easily become dinner for 2 nights, it was that huge!  The char-grilled chicken breast was accompanied by kidney beans, black olives, corn, guacamole, chips and pico de gallo.  There are a variety of dressings to choose from but they recommend the Ranch and that did seem to be the perfect choice.  The salad was outstanding!  One of my dining companions had the California Cobb Salad which was just as big as mine and they gave a rave review of that salad as well.  Two other friends ordered the Pulled-Pork Sandwich which came with an onion ring on top and BBQ sauce.  Although I was told by both that it was an excellent sandwich they felt the BBQ sauce could stand to have a bit more of a tang to it.  The dish that fell flat was one of Indigo Joe's Specialties, the Island Fish Tacos.  We all agreed that the Island Sauce, which was quite similar to a Thousand Island Dressing, completely over-powered the cod fish inside the soft taco.

The menu is extensive and priced reasonably with a little bit of everything for everyone.  Sports Fans will enjoy checking out the large collection of sports memorabilia and there's no lack of flat screen TVs, the bar section even has a small screen at each booth.
