Julia's Talley House Restaurant; One of Lake Norman's local treasuresLeave a comment »
To an outsider driving down Main Street in Troutman (on the northeast side of Lake Norman), population 1749, Julia’s Talley House Restaurant looks like just another charming older home in this quaint town. But, the locals know better! If you want to experience true, home-style Southern cooking in a cozy and even homey restaurant, there is simply no where better than Julia’s Talley House Restaurant. http://www.bestrealestatelakenorman.com/003F82 Posted on July 31, 2008 10:58:55 by Diane Aurit

Lake Norman Parents: Tax-Free Back-to-School August 1-3rd!
Today is a perfect day to be out on Lake Norman boating and playing, especially for our children who are on summer vacation. It’s hard to believe that another year has gone by and that this Friday - Sunday are North Carolina’s annual tax-free back-to-school days! Technically, the sales tax holiday begins at exactly 12.01a.m. on Friday, August 1st and ends at exactly 11:59p.m. on Sunday, August 3, 2008. http://www.bestrealestatelakenorman.com/003F6B Posted on July 30, 2008 11:54:12 by Diane Aurit

Before buying a Lake Norman waterfront home, see it by boat!
Okay, so I admit it, I love showing waterfront property here on Lake Norman by boat. (The above picture is of my skipper/husband while we are waiting for my clients to arrive.) Not a bad way to spend a beautiful day! However, in all seriousness, it is extremely important, particularly for out-of-towners, to give waterfront buyers a tour of Lake Norman by boat after narrowing down their search a bit but BEFORE making an offer. Here are just some of the reasons why: http://www.bestrealestatelakenorman.com/003F41 Posted on July 28, 2008 10:39:51 by Diane Aurit

Lake Norman's Birkdale Village: Great Shopping, Dining and Housing!
Birkdale Village is a true destination for so many different people in the Lake Norman area. For someone like me who every-once-in-a-while wants to get a California "fix", I go because of its upscale shopping, restaurants, theater and overall ambiance. But, it also attracts myriad young families with strollers and business people coming to network at the Starbucks or one of the great restaurants Even our local NASCAR drivers frequent the restaurants. Unlike anywhere else in Lake Norman or even Charlotte, Birkdale Village truly offers the best of the urban village concept! http://www.bestrealestatelakenorman.com/003F1D Posted on July 25, 2008 10:35:02 by Diane Aurit
