Lake Norman Real Estate: Discover Fern Hill Road Part ILeave a comment »
One of the hottest areas for housing growth on Lake Norman is along Fern Hill Rd. Straddling Mooresville and Troutman, Fern Hill Road curves its way through farms and forests from just west of the I-77 to the shores of Lake Norman.
When you first travel west on Fern Hill you will pass farms dotted along the country side amongst brand new upscale subdivisions. Some of this farmland is actually part of the Voluntary Farmland Preservation District.
As you get closer to the Lake Norman, the farms give way to heavily wooded forests and slightly rolling hills. The many small roads and lanes snake their way through the trees opening to the beautiful lake shoreline.
Each housing development along Fern Hill Road has its own character, features and price ranges. Some, like Woodstream Estates, are small upscale communities featuring one builder.
Mike Jocoy Custom Homes has 10 wooded homesites ready to customize in both traditional and Craftsman styles. The home on the left, Lot #10, has 5 bedrooms, 4 full and two half bathrooms in 5474 square feet for $839,900.
So whether you are looking for a Lake Norman retreat or a view looking out at your neighbors rolling farmland, Fern Hill Road is a great place to start your search!
