Lake Norman Real Estate: Discover Fern Hill, Road Part 2Leave a comment »
One of the newest peninsulas to be developed on Lake Norman is Fern Hill Road which straddles the towns of Mooresville on the south and Troutman on the north:
Woodleaf is an interesting subdivision that winds its way along the water view side of Kenway Loop and inland along several new streets as well.
Developed in 2006, most of the homes for sale are new construction on heavily wooded lots. They range in price from $489,900 to about $800,000 depending on the size of the home, the builder and the location of the lot. Many of the home sites along Kenway Loop have water views.
Just up the street, Northington Woods offers both models and customs homes by a number of area builders. There are currently 15 homes for sale in Northington Woods priced from $424,000 - $639,000 and there are several unimproved lots still available as well. Here is an opportunity to build your own dream home or choose from the new construction in progress or nearly complete.
Northington Woods offers some waterfront homes and a boat storage area. Lake access is close by at Stumpy Creek or north at the Lake Norman State Park. Located in the popular Lake Norman School district of South Iredell County. Beacon Pointe is one of the coveted waterfront communities that offers deeded boat slips with almost every property that is not actually on the water itself. A wonderful variety of homes exist partially because the first homes were built as early as 1995 yet there are also some built as recently as 2007.
My favorite street, Bullfinch Road, is relatively flat with lovely waterfront homes surrounded by expansive lawns and gardens. There are currently three homes for sale in Beacon Pointe ranging in price from $480,000 to $1,595,000 for a spectacular waterfront home.
