Lake Norman Real Estate Development: The Village at Lake Norman1 comment »
When one thinks of Cornelius NC images of gracious homes in The Peninsula and along the Lake Norman waterfront, upscale shops and services and a casual lifestyle come to mind. But, there is a giant coming to town!
Controversial since it's inception, The Village at Lake Norman got approval for a conditional-use permit by the Cornelius commissions back on April 24th by a slim vote of 3-2 after years of meetings with the town staff, planning board and community residents. In May, Cornelius Bromont LLC announced it had completed the purchase of 104 acres in Cornelius for the future site of the Village at Lake Norman, the largest real estate development in the community's history. (Not unlike Langtree at the Lake in Mooresville). http://www.bestrealestatelakenorman.com/00409D Posted on August 13, 2008 10:55:04 by Diane Aurit

Lake Norman Real Estate: Our Schizophrenic CommunitiesWhen one thinks of our Lake Norman communities images of large estates on the water, new upscale shopping and restaurants, and a lifestyle revolving around the myriad lake recreational opportunities most likely come to mind .
But, on the east side of Lake Norman, the towns of Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, Mooresville and Troutman truly have two distinct and very different personalities related to their location of the Interstate 77.
One has to remember that all 5 of these towns were originally founded along the path of the north/south railroad from Charlotte to Statesville long before Lake Norman was even created. http://www.bestrealestatelakenorman.com/003976 Posted on June 06, 2008 11:50:29 by Diane Aurit

Now That's Italian Lake Norman!
Life would not seem complete without great Italian markets and bakeries so you can imagine my excitement when I discovered Ferruccis Old Tyme Italian Market right here in Lake Norman! (Yes, I know this isnt about real estate but once in a while I need to have some fun! Besides, I want to reassure anyone considering relocating here, especially from New York, that you will be able to get all of your favorite foods right here in Lake Norman). http://www.bestrealestatelakenorman.com/0031CC Posted on May 03, 2008 11:04:16 by Diane Aurit

Lake Norman's Town of Cornelius; From Small Village to Posh Charlotte Suburb
I have always thought of Cornelius as the older sister to Mooresville since it was targeted by Crescent Homes for its first luxury lake front residential community, The Peninsula (with 11 miles of shoreline on Lake Norman), about ten years before The Point in Mooresville. Both towns have a significant number of miles of newly developed waterfront property on jagged peninsulas of land jutting out into the middle of the main channel of Lake Norman. And both towns have their historic downtowns on the east side of I-77 along the old Main street/ Highway 115. http://www.bestrealestatelakenorman.com/001F64 Posted on February 18, 2008 17:27:11 by Diane Aurit
