Lake Norman Real Estate: Our Schizophrenic CommunitiesLeave a comment »
When one thinks of our Lake Norman communities images of large estates on the water, new upscale shopping and restaurants, and a lifestyle revolving around the myriad lake recreational opportunities most likely come to mind .
But, on the east side of Lake Norman, the towns of Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, Mooresville and Troutman truly have two distinct and very different personalities related to their location of the Interstate 77.
One has to remember that all 5 of these towns were originally founded along the path of the north/south railroad from Charlotte to Statesville long before Lake Norman was even created. http://www.bestrealestatelakenorman.com/003976 Posted on June 06, 2008 11:50:29 by Diane Aurit

Davidson NC; Lake Norman's Historic College Town
Tucked in between Cornelius to the south and Mooresville to the north along the shores of Lake Norman is the small town of Davidson. Home to Davidson College, of the nation's top liberal arts colleges, Davidson is truly the epitome of a small, historic college town. Unlike the other towns on Lake Norman, Davidson has sustained moderate growth in part because of careful town planning and by incorporating strict preservation rules. A Brief Overview of Davidson NC:

Lake Norman gets pretty spooky on Halloween! Newly Updated!
Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. When I was little we had a pumpkin carving contest at school and I remember proudly placing my crudely carved pumpkin on the tables that lined the halls of my elementary school. There was one house in my neighborhood that went all out and made an amazingly scary haunted experience for the kids. I think every neighborhood has one of those exceptional families. Here in Cornelius it is the home of Trish and Dick Mahoney. http://www.bestrealestatelakenorman.com/0011B4 Posted on October 26, 2007 16:21:20 by Diane Aurit
